Welcome
to the Dauphine! |
When you enter the hotel lobby
you will be transported over 150 years into the past in this, the
oldest part of the hotel. The building began as a two-room dwelling
built in the 1840’s and the original structure now functions
as a lobby and formal dining room for the hotel. |
The
lobby is furnished with antique Arts & Crafts pieces and an
old trunk similar to those used by the first guests – traveling
salesmen who went from town to town on the railroad. Memorabilia
from the Missouri Pacific Railroad adorns the walls and shelves.

The
formal dining room can seat up to 8 people and is an ideal location
for tea parties or bridal or baby showers. It can also be used to
indulge in some old fashioned fun with a game or puzzle from our collection. |

The
parlor is located adjacent to the lobby and is an ideal place to
gather with friends and family or to relax by the fire with one
of our books on local history, wildlife, gardens and arts and crafts.
